Job description

Position Purpose:

The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Risk and Monitoring, is a key member of the team responsible for supporting the health and stability of the Pro Trade Credit portfolio. This role is focused on performing in-depth portfolio analysis, monitoring risk indicators, generating reports and insights, and assisting in the execution of risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 25% - Collections and Disputes Management - Develop and maintain accurate collection status records for all accounts.  Resolve customer discrepancies and/or disputes and effect collection of delinquent accounts.  Recommend plans of action to resolve collection accounts and ensure timely & accurate processing of payments.  Recommend when accounts should be placed with outside agencies or attorneys for collection.
  • 25% - Customer Service - Directly communicate with customers and internal sales associates or leadership related to credit & collection matters verbally and in writing.
  • 25% - Drives Results - Ability to understand, identify, and influence results to help meet key performance metrics for individual and overall team goals.  Ability to propose solutions and identify areas for operational process improvements.
  • 25% - Manage Credit - Perform judgmental underwriting for large commercial customers credit needs in a timely, secure, sound, and consistent ability. Manage receivables & mitigate potential losses through sound credit management strategies & execution.

  • This Position typically reports to the Area Supervisor Trade Credit Services

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in credit risk, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with statistical modeling is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data and findings to management.

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
