Position Summary
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing multidisciplinary neuroscience and pain management team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions utilizing advanced interventional techniques and evidence-based medical therapies.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing interventional, medical, rehabilitative, and behavioral approaches.
- Perform a wide range of image-guided interventional pain procedures, including:
- Epidural steroid injections
- Facet joint injections and medial branch blocks
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Sacroiliac joint injections
- Peripheral nerve blocks
- Spinal cord stimulation trials and implants
- Intrathecal pain pump evaluations and management
- Minimally invasive spine procedures
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Accurately document patient encounters and procedural notes within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and care pathway development.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and pain management strategies.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or related specialty.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice.
- DEA registration and controlled substance certification.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with neuromodulation procedures.
- Fellowship training from an ACGME-accredited program.
- Interest in developing and expanding pain management services.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
